Here at SGS System’s Ltd we value our staff for their experience and support which they bring to our customers and company whilst working within our dedicated team.
As part of our regular training programme we aspire to invest in our security engineers by encouraging qualifications which will help them to progress for the benefit of themselves and offer the continual improvement and development of our business.
Currently we have three members of staff on our apprenticeship programme. In conjunction with Oldbury based Apprenticeship company BCTG, Ryan Atkins and Luis Ferraro are working on their NVQ Security Systems Qualification Level 1 whilst through Worcester based Apprenticeship Scheme, Skills for Security, Alex Elliot is now working through his NVQ Level 3.
Working closely aside our more experienced staff, their apprenticeships cover many types of installation work from job preparation, risk assessment and cleaning to testing and cabling under instruction. Each apprentice is able to offer hands on support to our wider team throughout all projects, whilst learning all areas of security to gain a broad range of knowledge and experience; in doing so, they are given the opportunity to travel with team nationwide, throughout the UK.
It’s been a family week at SGS Systems Ltd
This week has been an exciting week for the Gennard family as everyone has come together to work in the business. Whilst our Director Simon Gennard continues to lead his team in working on security projects all over the UK, his son Luke has joined him for the summer season to support the installations. Back at the office Director Sally Gennard, manages and supports the daily running of the business, whilst their youngest son Josh has embarked on his first week of work experience from Codsall High School, in Wolverhampton.
Josh say’s that he has had an enjoyable and exciting week here at SGS Systems, finding out about what the team get up to both in the office and out on site projects. His week has included looking at the day to day running of the business and way’s in which we could improve our coverage and communication on social media. Whilst out on site a trip to Swansea, Wales enabled him to assist in the maintenance and testing of our Smoke Security Products for well-known high street retail store clients. More locally Josh has visited home owners with our security engineers to look at keypad repairs and install bell boxes. Josh added that he has enjoyed been out on site the most and that it has been fun working with our individual security installers. We look forward to Josh joining us again in the future for more work experience and including him as part of our team.
